Fear magnifies the devil, but faith magnifies God.
Let’s be honest—sometimes, without even realizing it, we give the devil too much credit. We talk about how strong the attacks are, how dark the world is, how heavy life feels. And yes, there’s a real enemy. The Bible even calls him “the mighty and the terrible.” But here’s the thing—he’s not stronger than our God. Not even close.
Somewhere along the line, we started magnifying Satan and minimizing God. We focus more on what the enemy is doing than what God has already done—and is still doing. We let fear shout louder than faith. But that ends now.
This isn’t about pretending evil doesn’t exist—it’s about remembering who’s really in control. The One who created heaven and earth, who speaks and mountains move, who calls Himself our Father.
It’s time to shift your focus. To stop feeding fear and start standing in truth.
Because when you really see God for who He is… the devil doesn’t seem so “mighty” anymore.
The Devil Is Called ‘The Mighty and Terrible’ (Isaiah 49:24-26; Matthew 12:29; Jude 5:23):
Satan is not just an idea or a symbol—he is a real enemy with power. The Bible calls him the “strongman,” and indeed he has done mighty (but evil) things throughout the generations. He has stirred up wars, enslaved nations, and afflicted individuals with pain, fear, bondage, and destruction. He is mighty—not in righteousness—but in wickedness.
But listen, dear reader: just because he is mighty doesn’t mean he is Almighty. He may terrorize, but he cannot triumph over the one who sits on the throne!
How Did the Devil Earn the Title ‘Mighty’? (Mark 5:2-5; Luke 13:16; 2 Corinthians 11:13-14)
He has gained this fearful reputation through supernatural manifestations—possessions, diseases, afflictions, oppression, lies, and deception. He has wrecked families, destroyed ministries, even attacked children in the womb.
People speak more of the power of Satan than they do of the power of God. Many Christians fear curses, evil altars, and demonic powers more than they believe in the promises of the Most High! The fame of Satan has become loud—but not because he is stronger than God. It is because people have not yet encountered the God who breaks yokes and destroys fear!
The Implication: If the Devil Is Mighty, What Then of Our God? (Luke 1:37; Isaiah 43:13; Psalm 82:1)
If Satan is called mighty—then God must be called THE MIGHTIEST!
Demons tremble at the name we so often take for granted—JESUS!
The devil has power, but God is the source of all power. The devil can afflict, but God can heal. The devil can bind, but God delivers. The devil can cause fear, but God gives peace that passes all understanding!
Isaiah 43:13 declares, “Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?”
So why fear what the devil can do when you serve the One who made him? Why tremble at satanic activity when God is ready to rise for your defense?
Conclusion:
Today, the Lord is ready to prove Himself strong in your life. Whatever the enemy has done—be it sickness, delay, fear, oppression, or spiritual attack—God will reverse it!
Lift up your eyes to the hills—your help comes from the Lord!
He is stronger than your fear.
He is greater than your past.
He is more powerful than your enemy.
The Lord is not only mighty; He is MIGHTIER THAN THE MIGHTY and MORE TERRIBLE THAN THE TERRIBLE. The devil may fight, but he cannot win. Tonight, the Almighty will arise and every enemy of your destiny will fall.
If the devil is mighty enough to bind, God is mighty enough to break every chain!”
Let us pray:
Father, arise in Your power and silence every strongman over our lives. Show Yourself mighty in our families, our health, our ministries, and our future. We declare that no power of darkness shall overcome us, for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world! In Jesus’ name, amen!
