Prophecy Study Plan

From Isaiah to Revelation, the prophetic books carry some of the most powerful and demanding words in all of Scripture. This 120-day plan walks you through every prophetic book of the Bible: the major prophets, all twelve minor prophets, and the book of Revelation. Reading them together, at about three chapters a day, lets you hear the consistent voice of God calling his people back to himself, warning, comforting, and pointing forward to the coming of Christ and the end of all things.

Who This Plan Is For

This plan is for believers who want to understand biblical prophecy, those who have read the narrative and gospel portions of Scripture and are ready for the prophets, and anyone drawn to study what God has revealed about the future.

Tips for Completing This Plan

  • Read the prophets in their historical context. A study Bible or commentary helps greatly here.
  • Watch for the pattern: warning of judgment, call to repentance, promise of restoration.
  • Notice how often the prophets point forward to Jesus, the suffering servant and coming King.
  • Do not rush the hard passages. Sit with the weight of God speaking to his people.
  • Keep Revelation for the end, reading it as the climax the earlier prophets anticipate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which books does this plan cover?

All the prophetic books: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, and Daniel; the twelve minor prophets from Hosea to Malachi; and Revelation in the New Testament.

Is biblical prophecy hard to understand?

Some of it is challenging. Reading the prophets in context, with prayer and a good study Bible, makes them far clearer. Take your time.

Do the prophets only talk about the future?

No. Much of prophecy addressed the people of its own day, calling them to repentance. It also points forward to Christ and the last days.

What should I read alongside this plan?

The historical books of Kings and Chronicles give the backdrop for many prophets. The Gospels show how Jesus fulfils them.
